Chile Entrance Requirements (Important Notice Please Read)
All foreign citizens entering Chile must have a passport that
is valid for at least 6 months after the date they enter the
country. Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom and many
other countries do not need visas to enter Chile. US citizens
pay a reciprocity tax of USD$100 in cash upon entry into the
country. Canadian and Australian pay a reciprocity tax of US$
55 and US$34, respectively. The receipt is valid for the life
of your passport. This tax is applied to countries that charge
Chilean citizens a fee to process visas.
For flights leaving Chile, there is an airport tax of USD$18,
or the equivalent in CHP (Chilean pesos). On domestic flights
airport tax is usually included in the airline ticket.
